Project Background
Sirjan Iranian Steel Complex is located in Bardesir County, Kerman Province. The complex includes:
Direct Reduction Iron (DRI) units with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons
Steel billet production through Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) melting of sponge iron

Project Scope
The client, Sirjan Iranian Steel Complex, aimed to establish an emergency charging system for sponge iron loading onto Conveyor Belt No. 7 in the steelmaking unit.

Previous Process:
Sponge iron was discharged from the product screen onto Conveyor Belt No. 7 and transported to the steelmaking unit.

New Emergency Charging System:
A ramp, hopper, feeder, and auxiliary equipment were installed.
A loader is used to charge sponge iron onto Conveyor Belt No. 7 when the primary screening unit is
unavailable.
